Explanation of that is in slowing bowel movement due to increasing reabsorbing of water from intestine by kidneys. Patients with Weight increase There are great variations of weight increase during pregnancy. Mostly it is 12 kg. Anyway metabolic changes, edema, water retention can be factors of quick weight gain.
